Team Leader Responsibilities

  • Cheerleader: Encourage team members.

    • Read and comment on their blogs at least twice monthly.
    • Ask them how they're progressing--via email or face-to-face conversations.
    • Let them know you, their colleagues, their administrators, 21clc project director are here to support them.
    • Drop encouraging notes in their mailboxes.
    • Give them an inexpensive treat (Coke, candy, pen...) to celebrate accomplishments and encourage them to keep working.
    • Update rest of faculty on team progress in faculty meetings.
    • Thank them often for their commitment to lifelong learning and to improving their professional practice.
  • Leader: Support members so that entire team can reach 21clc goals.

    • If needed, coordinate team work sessions (other than monthly 21clc meetings) to set aside time to work together on 21things or other 21clc projects. Feel free to contact project director for support.
